ABS-CBN is one of the a major commercial television network in the Philippines. It is the oldest and one of the leading television network in the country with an advertising revenues of 19 billion for the fiscal year 2012. It is a unit of the media conglomerate ABS-CBN Corporation. It was launched on October 23, 1953 as Alto Broadcasting System and is among the first commercial television networks in Asia. Its headquarters is in Quezon City with regional offices and news bureaus in over 25 provincial areas throughout the country.
